RIP Karl “Bear” Krechman

The OHAFC mourns the passing of Karl Krechman. Affectionately known as “Bear”, Karl joined the club in 2008 volunteering his services, following a few of our new recruits that year. He soon became part of the furniture and was the Team Manager for the Senior Teams for five years. Just as importantly, he worked hard to ensure all teams were well nourished. Karl was in the catering business and was renowned for his soups on a Tuesday night, enormous meals on a Thursday and all types of delights after games. In his time at the club, Karl rarely missed a night’s training or a game as he just loved watching his football and Haileybury football in particular. He would lend his support wherever it was required. When not team manager, he was still heavily involved, travelling to all games to give his support. Karl was a recipient of the Barrie Bergy Award for services to the club in 2011. His enormous generosity to the club was heartfelt and very much appreciated by those around him. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P Bear.
