Behaviours and Leadership Expectations
All Club Members
- We never discriminate or make demeaning comments on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, belief system or physical attributes – with anyone including opposition players
- We welcome all new players and particularly promote the club to senior students (male and female) at Haileybury
- We use social media responsibility and don’t use it to criticise or make demeaning comments
Committee
The Committee will demonstrate commitment to the club values by:
- Ensuring committee decisions always consider the implications for all teams and all players.
- Managing the operational business and sustainability of the club in line with the above values
- Communicating regularly across the club to promote events, celebrate achievements and highlight current priorities
The committee will also actively support player wellbeing by:
- Providing access to mental health awareness training for coaches and interested players
- Holding an annual Danny Frawley round to highlight the importance of mental health awareness
- Actively seeking employment opportunities for players through club networks
- Highlighting local mental health services and providing information on how to access them
- Promoting the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices for both physical and mental health
Club Leaders (Committee, Coaches & Player Leaders)
• We expect our leaders to respectfully call out behaviours that are not consistent with our values by typically having a ‘quiet word’ and not publicly ostracising anyone. And by doing this well we will build a culture that is Successful, Fun, Loyal & Connected
